Buddhism Across Asia: Networks of Material, Intellectual and Cultural Exchange

54 research papers have been accepted for the conference, written by scholars from as far as the United States, Italy and Iran.
Topics include 'Rethinking the Buddhist Interactions between India and China', 'Negotiating Co-existence: A study of Inter-religious Dynamics in the Bodhgaya Region', and 'Buddhism in Iran and a Focus on Honameh, as a Possible Buddhist Temple'.
A registration fee of S$400 will be charged for the three-day conference (including the Keynote Address by Nobel Laureate Professor Amartya Sen), conference papers, and meals.
For those interested in attending only the Keynote Address by Nobel Laureate Professor Amartya Sen, a registration fee of S$150 will be charged (inclusive of reception). He will be delivering a keynote address titled 'Buddha and the Modern World' on the last day of the conference.
Since seating is limited, acceptance will be on a first-received-first-registered basis.
Registration ends on 9 February 2009.
