CST4 open dictionary supports HTML formatting
by Andy Shaw (namkeblogger(a)emsjuwel.com) [CAN:IP logged]
I just found out that the CST4 dictionary file supports HTML formatting in the dictionary entries. This is wonderful.
Any new dictionary entries created for the CST4 software will be in a format compatible with browsers and other software programs.
It will also make it possible to create very complete entries (with bold, paragraphs, colors, etc)
You don't need to know HTML (web page special codes) to help out.
I just add this note today because there may be many Pali programmers and web masters who are not yet aware of this great dictionary improvement by Frank Snow (programmer who is writing the CST4 software) at http://www.tipitaka.org/cst/
There is more detailed information about the HTML on the new Pali BBS. If you would like to help out with the unofficial CST4 dictionary project then there is a BBS forum at http://emsjuwel.com/pali
We're just getting started. Even just some ideas and suggestions would be appreciated. There is a Town Hall Forum on the new Pali BBS for people who wish to make suggestions but do not wish to create dictionary entries.

Hi Andy, I am moved by your enthusiasm. I have been putting off this for a while, but now I shall download CSCT4 and have a look myself.
