You already have the infra-structure and philosophy necessary to
support the creation of learning files for free online distribution.
There are many subjects which are only based on textual, visual, and
acoustic learning materials.
Simply give the students a place to post their learning files. As
long as you do not charge for them, most of them would be happy to
help their fellow students. It is also important, however, that the
software is freely available to anyone who wishes to download it.
The learning files would attract interest from many people. Some of
those people may decide that they wish to deepen their knowledge by
the participation in your online courses.
You would help your students, create interest in your school, and
help teachers and students everywhere - for no more than you spend now.
Of course, it would be best to have a file certification process,
whereby certain files would be defined as "standards" for a
subject area. You could also offer an area on your server for
uncertified files as a service.
